Lonnie Wilson Lonnie Wilson grew up in Monroe, Louisiana. He attended Northeast Louisiana University. After finishing college in the spring of 1980, Lonnie set his sights on Nashville to pursue his dream of being in the music business. About fifteen months later, he landed a record deal as the lead singer of Warner Bros. Records group Bandana. Bandana had several hit singles including The Killing Kind, On The Outside Looking In, and Better Our Hearts Should Bend. In 1988, after seven years of touring, Lonnie decided to focus on song writing and a new career as a studio drummer. His decision paid off big. Lonnie has written many hit singles for artist such as Rascal Flatts, Brooks and Dunn, Joe Diffie, and Andy Griggs. As a drummer, Lonnie has received the Music Row Magazine Top Studio Drummer Award four times. He has received the Academy of Country Music's Drummer Award twice. Lonnie was also voted 1999 Country Drummer of the Year by Modern Drummer magazine. Lonnie also has produced several albums for Joe Diffie. Hit singles produced by Lonnie are A Night To Remember, In Another World, It's Always Something, and the self-penned Texas Sixe Heartache. In 2005, Lonnie hitched up with a new co-venture publishing deal with Blacktop Music Group. "I love Mike Sebastian and the whole gang at Blacktop Music," says Lonnie.
