Since March, the writers at Blacktop have been on a role! Our songs have been recorded by Carrie Underwood, James Otto, Blake Shelton and Reba McEntire just to name a few. We couldn't be more proud of our entire writing staff. Blacktop has songs on upcoming album releases by all the above artists as well as Darryl Worley (Stroudavarious), Easton Corbin (Universal) & Mallary Hope (Universal).

Blacktop also has upcoming singles releases on:

Congrats to our writer Marty Dodson who just had a two week # 1 record on Kenny Chesney with "Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven". Marty also has Darryl Worley's current single "Tequila On Ice" which is at # 45 and climbing on the R&R Charts.

Great song and man does it make you feel good. Again, way to go guys! You wrote a killer song and we appreciate you. Last week everyone got to listen to our upcoming Billy Ray Cyrus releases. "I Could Be The One" as written by Thom McHugh and Jay Knowles and "Thrillbilly" written by Marty Dodson and Danny Orton. We also heard our latest Darryl Worley cut "You Never Know" written by Jimmy Yeary, Mike McGuire and Billy Ryan. All these cuts sounded incredible and everyone was blown away. We are truly blessed to have such great songwriters writing at Blacktop. Thanks to the producers and folks that made these cuts happen and for doing such a great job on our songs, they are, Doug Howard, Mark Bright, Swine & Moose.

Recent recordings include "A Lot To Learn About Living" written by Liz Hengber, Clay Mills & Sonny LeMaire and recorded by Easton Corbin. Thanks to Carson Chamberlain for producing a great cut and to the Universal folks for all their support. Also "Lost Without Your Love" written by Matt Nolen & Eric Paslay was recorded by Dan Evans (recent winner of the hit television show The Biggest Loser) and will be released soon in conjunction with Universal Records. Way to go Liz & Matt!

Blacktop is off to great 2008. Since the last news posting the publishing company had two songs recorded by Billy Ray Cyrus for his upcoming album which will be released in conjunction with Miley Ray Cyrus motion picture, a song recorded by Kenny Chesney for his new life styles album and two songs recorded by The Coyotes in conjunction with the CMT show "The Ultimate Coyote" for Coyote Ugly Saloon. The two songs recorded by The Coyotes are available for downloads at www.coyoteuglysaloon.com.

Also, congratulations are in order for Julianne Hough, David Malloy and Universal records. Julianne's Universal Records album, produced by David Malloy, debuted this week (5/29/08) at number one on the Country Soundscan Charts as well as number three in all formats. Blacktop has two songs on this debut album.

"Our Luke Bryan single "All My Friends Say" went to # 5 in R&R and Billboard and our current Tracy Lawrence single "Til I Was A Daddy Too" is at # 40 in R&R and climbing. Our newest single "Broken In" by Trent Wilmon is at #45 in R&R's Country Indicator Chart and climbing.

Blacktop has recently had songs recorded by various artists including Universal Records George Strait, Julianne Hough (Dancing With The Stars winner), Midas Records Emerson Drive, Sony/BMG Records The Lost Trailers, Independent artist Daryl Worley, hit Australian artist Adam Harvey as well as the Davison Brothers.

We have the new Tracy Lawrence single (congrats Tracy on your # 1 record "Find Out Who Your Friends Are") "Til I Was A Daddy Too" written by Larry Boone, Tracy Lawrence & Paul Nelson.

Marty Dodson was awarded the first Gold Ringtone plaque for "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right" in Universal Music Group's history as well as a Platinum download and album plaque.

We've also recently had songs recorded by Brooks & Dunn, Clint Black, Sara Evans, Rodney Atkins, Little Texas & The Steel Drivers, Trace Adkins, Lila McCann and Van Z.

Blacktop Music Group has current releases on Rodney Atkin's new Curb album which has already sold 671,182 units, Billy Currington's current album (733,724 units), Steve Holy's new release (192,889 units) & Lonestar's new album (79,390 units).

Look for Blacktop writer Lonnie Wilson's upcoming new single "All My Friends Say" by Captial Records Group recording artist Luke Bryan. This one's sure to be a hit!

Blacktop Music Group has also had songs recently recorded by Trace Adkins, Van Zant, Jo Dee Messina, Tracy Lawrence, Little Texas and Bucky Covington for their upcoming new album releases. Blacktop also has two songs, "Mountains" & "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right" , on the newly released Totally Country Vol 6 album. The Totally Country albums have consistently been selling Platinum.

Our single "Mountains" written by Blacktop writer Larry Boone and released by Lonestar peaked in R&R at # 10 in January of '07.

Our resident artist/writer, Rhean Boyer, of the group Carolina Rain on Equity Records, is excited to announce that the new Carolina Rain single "Isn't She" is at # 40 in R&R this week and climbing! Way to go guys!

Congratulations to Marty Dodson on his recent two week #1 one song “Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right” by Billy Currington. Billy Curringtons album was just certified Gold by the RIAA after the first single.
